Autumn 2011 The Mayors Thames Festival, London
o Attending on-site production meetings with the festival team to determine stall structures required.
o Attending on-site meetings to determine electrical constructions required.
o Full Project Plan, Full Event Plan, Press Plan including online and offline and social media plans, full risk
assessment highlighting that it was an outdoor event so greater risk to manage.
o Designing and planning an entire, cohesive shopping space; this proved to be much more of a challenge as it was
an outdoor space, not a regular venue and therefore I was starting with a blank canvas.
o Full financial accounting and full budget for the event.
o Sourcing suppliers for banners, printed materials, working with graphic designer to create a cohesive look
maximising the We Make Brand.
o Sourcing specialist insurance cover for a one-off outdoor event.
o Setting up an entire outdoor area, including gazebos, outdoor lighting, electrical plug sockets, signage, tables
and chairs. All to be inspected by Health and Safety officers before the event began.
o Working with both the festival team and The Craft Trail collaboration to help with the design and production of
an interactive map. This allowed visitors to travel around the festival to the Craft Trail areas. The map was
designed by Sanna King and illustrated by Mike Hall.
o Assisting with sourcing and securing advertisements for the map to generate the funds to print 10,000 copies
that were handed out over the course of the weekend event.
o Post event administration, post event evaluation.
