                              Christmas 2010 Christmas Craft Wonderland
                              Art and Design Fair, Chelsea Town Hall

                              • 1 day Art and Design Fair showcasing over 80 designer-makers.
                              • Running craft workshops throughout the day. 
                              • Securing sponsorship from Etsy.com, UK Handmade Magazine, Craft Central and Moo.com.
                              • Successful gaining Media coverage in Local magazines, Time Out London, Junior Magazine,  UK Handmade Magazine.
                              • Planning and Event Management by Mary McDermott consisted of: 
                                          o    Liaising with venues staff to secure booking, liaising with both venue and insurance company to make sure 
                                                event is adequately insured            
                                          o  Negotiating with professional caterers to design a specific ‘Christmas’ menu for the event.
                                          o Sourcing and liaising with a choir to perform during the day.
                                          o    Designing the visual look of the event, including venue decoration, branding signage, this was a themed so 
                                               costumes for staff were also sourced.
                                          o    Full Health and Safety plan to venues requirements including a full check before event opening, risk assessment, 
                                               advertising and interviewing staff for event day,  full staff rota, set up venue ready for event, break down of 
                                               event.
                                          o    Creating a fully comprehensive floor plan highlighting 82 stalls ensuring adequate walk through space for 
                                               visitors.
                                          o    Full event budget.
                                          o    Liaising with graphic designer to create all visuals for the event, advertisements, flyers, banners, hand outs, 
                                                promotional tote bags.
                                          o     Project managing the submission of promotional items from the designers for the goody bags.            
                                          o   Devising a full marketing strategy including online and offline marketing, a full PR plan, an online competition, 
                                                and a social media plan.
                                          o    Writing press releases.
                                          o   Collating and responding to 300 designers applying for the event and selecting 80 final designers, acting as the  
                                                point of contact for designers, managingd both designer database and Press databases.
